After our lovely time in Panama City, Cyndie Lepori led the way to Navarre and Pirate’s Cove.

As we gathered in Pirates Cove to enjoy a meal with new friends, we had the great good fortune of dolphins coming to visit by swimming past right in front of our table for dinner. A mom and baby. Such a blessing.

With every grand adventure there is sometimes adversity.

The first of such activity began in Pirates Cove.

After visiting Cyndie’s boat, we got back in the car and started to drive away with the intention of driving to Cyndie’s in Mississippi. My car sounded terrible – metal on metal screaming. We quickly pulled over and tried to figure out what to do. A nice police officer stopped and we asked him to listen to the noise. He said it was probably fine to drive to a nearby location for the night.

The new friends we had met at Pirate’s Cove had invited us to stay for the night. We decided to take them up on that offer. As soon as the decision was made to stay, the noise stopped.

We headed to Walmart to purchase a few blow up mattresses and 5 women and 4 small dogs created a giant slumber party in a 1 bedroom apartment. It was pretty hysterical.

Chickadee and I woke up much earlier than the others, so we went outside to talk. She is/was Cherokee. And we quickly realized we had a lot in common and a deep bond was formed. I have many Native American friends and for whatever reason, they often share things with me that they never share with other white people. We had a fabulous conversation. It felt like our connection and the energy and information we shared was important somehow.

One of the things she shared is that even though I was sitting at the table (at Pirate’s Cove) staring out at the lovely water, when she first arrived, she saw me as my angelic self … standing, about 7 feet tall with massive wings.

The next day we had the car checked out and everything was completely fine.

I’m fairly certain the connection I made with Chickadee was the reason we had been “inspired” to stay for the night.

Have a deLightful day,
