Every week I haul 2 gal, 3 gal, and 5 gal bottles to the store and dispense reverse osmosis water into them.
Living where I live, I get a lot of stares from people who think I’ve lost my mind or that I must live somewhere having a water problem. I’ve been using the same store to purchase water from for over 5 years and only once did I have to wait because someone else was dispensing.
Even on a well in New Mexico, when we switched to getting reverse osmosis water, within 3 days I had more energy and just felt generally better.
If you are still turning on the tap and drinking that crap … its time to stop!
Where I live, there is WAY too much chlorine – you can literally smell it when you turn on the faucet – and there is fluoride. So we use Brita for cooking and reverse osmosis for drinking and for brewing tea and coffee.
Here is an article about the harmful effects of Chlorine in drinking water.
To get rid of the chlorine and other harmful toxins in drinking water, I use this reversed osmosis water system under the kitchen sink.
Because breathing in chlorine and other toxins is also dangerous, it’s important to filter the water you shower in. The same company offers a whole house reversed osmosis system.
If you decide to get a reversed osmosis system, be sure to get one that adds minerals back into the water. Or, add trace minerals or mineral salt to your diet. (Of course, I would be remiss if I didn’t say check with a trained healthcare professional before changing your diet).
I switched to get healthy than to regret my whole life. I rather choose water than any soda.
Hi Takara! What kind of bottles do you use? Glass, BPA free? I read that most BPA free plastic bottles are still unhealthy, just in a different way.
Wouldn’t be a reverse osmosis filter at home be better and cheaper (gasoline, time …)? If you don’t want to install, there are even ro systems you can directly attach to your faucet.
Hi Karen:
Thanks for stopping by. Since I wrote this article, we have installed an under counter RO system that even adds minerals back in after the process.
The bottles I used to use were the big ones that were BPA free. You are right, it is better to use glass or ceramic. However, I used these for years and I’m exceedingly healthy. I think getting the fluoride, chlorine, lead, and other toxic chemicals out of the water has a much bigger impact on health than a minuscule amount of leached plastic. Using these bottles with pure water is vastly better than drinking tap water. So it’s what I opted for.
Have a fabulous day.
Oh, and, if anyone is curious, this is the system we ended up purchasing: https://amzn.to/2Jy41I9 (this is an Amazon affiliate link)
