I teach a lot of people a lot of things:
- how to heal issues from the past
- how to forgive
- how to deal with being an empath
- how to reclaim your passion and purpose
- how to experience greater levels of inner peace and joy
- how to rise in consciousness and awareness
- how to access higher wisdom
- how to clear disharmonious negative energies from yourself, as well as your home, work, and other environments
The list could go on of course.
But that last one I mentioned about dealing with something negative in yourself or your environment . . . how do you know it is actually your “stuff” that you are dealing with?
Often, in fact, it is not!
I’m sure you are probably wondering what I am talking about.
Sometimes you unexpectedly experience negative emotions like anger, sadness, or fear. Other times, you might wake up with this uneasy feeling that you can’t quite put your finger on.
Dowsers, empaths, and highly intuitive people often start looking for the cause of those feelings. They will ask questions like, “Is something ‘bad’ about to happen?” Or, “Am I upset about what Nancy said to me yesterday?”
It’s one thing to encounter a person or situation and have an immediate reaction. You know exactly what was done or said that upset you. And you can decide to forgive or have a conversation with the person to clear the air.
But when you have an unexpected negative emotion or feeling, it becomes very taxing sometimes to figure out why and then to rid yourself of it.
Often, the problem is that it simply isn’t your “stuff.” You’re simply being an empath picked up on the feelings, often outwardly unexpressed, that someone else is “running.”
Sometimes it is as if you have run into a negative vortex (like a little energy tornado) and now you are stuck there. These “icky” feelings might last a few hours, a few days, a few weeks . . . may we have a drum roll please . . . EVEN A FEW YEARS!
No, I’m not making this up and I’m not kidding.
It’s bad enough that you have energetic ties (cords) to people that can negatively affect you that will remain in place until they are removed properly.
But now you have to be concerned about picking up other people’s negative energy and emotions.
I’ll never forget the time I was terrified …
of being audited by the IRS.
O.K., first of all, I had nothing logical to fear. I always file my taxes accurately and on time. So, there was no obvious ‘reason’ the fear was so pronounced.
But day after day for several weeks, I would wake up with this gripping fear that I’d done something wrong on my taxes. I tried all kinds of things to rid myself of the feeling.
I don’t ever seem to be terrified about things. Having meditated for so many years, I live in a calm centered place almost all the time. Obsessive worry is a completely foreign concept to my reality. So these feelings and thoughts were almost unbearable.
When I repeatedly dowsed about being audited, I always got “no.” But I just couldn’t seem to rid myself of the thoughts and feelings.
Then one day a woman from the homeschool co-op that I was part of shared that she and her husband had been going through this horrific audit by the IRS. They had been dealing with it for weeks on end. And she had been basically a basket case all that time.
You have got to be kidding me!
I had been going through absolute agony and it wasn’t even my stuff.
And even worse than that, I already knew better. I had already been down this road several times and had some truly fast and effective methods for handling it.
I couldn’t believe I hadn’t remembered to ask the all important question. (Read on to find out what that is . . .)
Being in a feminine body means that I am naturally receptive. On top of that, my astrological sign is Pisces. Since Pisces is a water sign, it means that I am, therefore, naturally more sensitive to energy and emotion than many other people. Having raised my consciousness and awareness significantly over the past couple of decades, my sensitivity has been amplified even more. All of that is great for working with healing energies and picking up on the subtle. But it is not so great for dealing with intense negative emotions.
So . . .
Being an empath, until I figured out what was happening, I had become an emotional garbage collector. Other people had a lot of emotional junk. And I kept picking it up and carrying it for them.
I couldn’t believe I hadn’t recognized that sooner about the IRS issue.
Maybe you find yourself obsessing about:
- needing more money
- declining health
- making a mistake
- upsetting someone
- or something else
What if you have been worried about those things for a long time and it isn’t even your stuff?
And, if you are worried about those things, your natural flow of “good stuff” in those areas can’t happen?
You can’t have good health if you are obsessing about poor health.
You can’t have money flooding in your direction if you worried about not having enough.
So you see, it is critical that you not run fear about such things if you want to be healthy, happy, successful, charismatic, lovable, full of joy . . . you get the idea.
So what should you do when a negative emotion pops up?
The first question you should ask is: “Is this mine?”
If the answer is “Yes,” then you need to do some healing.
If the answer is “No,” then you need to clear out the energy. In my online course on pendulum dowsing, I give you a great method for handling it immediately and effectively.
In the meantime, visit the link and start doing the Daily Harmony meditation every day. It is not quite as thorough as some of my more advanced techniques, but it will still cause significant improvements if you’ve picked up someone else’s stuff. And, best of all, it’s FREE. Many people do it every day … even with their kids.

I just got off the phone with a guy who just returned from Japan.
His guides had indicated to him that he needed to purchase a BioElectric Shield before he left for this trip to Japan recently. He ordered it from me and jumping through a few hoops, we were able to get it to him in time to have it before his flight.
He had no idea what he and his friends were about to face while there. Staying in a 40-floor hotel that was swaying from the earthquake was no fun. Luckily everyone is O.K. and he is now safely back home in the states.
I remember my guides giving me the same kind of advice.
The moment I saw a picture of a BioElectric Shield in a magazine, I instantly KNEW I had to have one. I was so thrilled when it arrived. I put it on and instantly relaxed. It felt like all my muscles had been clinched for years. I was working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant with electronics, computers, and stress everywhere.
I’ve had one on ever since.
You can find out more about the BioElectric Shield at https://www.magnificentu.com/store/Jewelry-Pendulums/BioElectric-Shield-Electromagnetic-Protection
Have a glorious day,
There are many “rules” when operating a website, blog, or even sending out emails for advertising.
Some can get you into real legal hot water.
Others can get you banned from sending emails ever again to anyone with an email address at aol, hotmail, and other big email services. Depending on who makes up your email list, that can mean hundreds, even thousands, of people you could no longer send messages to.
This is a great service I use when setting up my personal sites and those of my clients.
On their home page, across their top navigation bar, you will find the word Tools. Click it and you will see the generators. Just fill them out and then copy the text it generates into new pages on your site. Typically the links for these 2 pages are placed at the bottom of the page.
When I work with clients, I make sure they are aware of all the rules and regulations regarding what can and can not on their site and with email marketing. The rules are often changing, so I keep them updated about doing things the right way to stay out of legal trouble and enjoy their presence online.
Have a deLightful day,

Classic Parts 4 Cars (http://www.classicparts4cars.com) is a joint venture between Debbie Shelor and John Shelor.
John is a mechanical engineer with a passion for old Ford antique cars and the parts that make their engine’s run. Debbie, his daughter, is an Industrial Engineer with a passion for website design and marketing.
They put the two together and launched a website www.classicparts4cars.com offering the numerous period parts for antique Ford engines that he’s been hoarding and collecting over the years.
John has engine replacement parts for everything from the earliest Ford V8 engines made in 1932 to a 6-cylinder made in 1973.
Some of the parts available include rod and main bearings, gaskets, piston rings, and more.
Soon they will be launching a blog sharing some of John’s vast knowledge about old Ford engines and how to make them run better.
Back in the car business!
I thought when I finished being the Internet Operations Manager for the Nissan dealership in Santa Fe, New Mexico that I was out of the car business for good.
But, alas, developing a website and blog for my dad involves getting back into cars.
Dad has been rebuilding, repairing, designing, racing, tinkering with, altering, and helping others with their cars since he was a small child. He’s now in his early 80’s. For that last 30 years or so he’s been buying and selling antique engine parts for Ford Motor Company vehicles – Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury.
Until now, it’s been mostly a hobby. Most of his sales happen through the Antique Automobile Club of America’s meets in Hershey, PA (probably the largest and best known), Charlotte, NC, and Maggie Valley, NC. He also is often referred by word of mouth.
Now we’re taking it global with an online presence.
As with any new online presence project, I start with research. What are people searching for online that he is offering? That means what keywords are people using to find the products he offers.
There are many free tools out there, but my “weapon” of choice is a paid software called Market Samurai: http://bit.ly/cqpUdh
With this business, there are many things people might type in to try and find auto parts for their antique car or truck.
Some options include antique car parts, classic car parts, old car parts, etc. After typing several choices into Market Samurai and letting it spit out the magic numbers telling me which one of the choices far outweigh the others, we started brainstorming domain names.
You see the domain name is crucial in your online plan for market domination. With Market Samurai’s help, I determined that Classic Car Parts was our best choice. Of course, that domain was already taken – as most obviously “good” domain names are. So are many other variations.
Sometimes you have to think outside the box. As an Industrial Engineer, that’s what I’m trained to do in order to solve a problem.
I remembered this website I used several years ago to get a replacement top for my Geo Tracker.
~~~~~ Side Story ~~~~
Several years ago I was working with a client who was struggling financially. She was great as an office manager/assistant, a service I needed. And I could help her heal the past and move forward in life. So, we made an agreement to trade my services for hers.
Suddenly she found herself moving to Florida. She had already done a couple of sessions with me but had not begun helping me in the office.
She needed to do something in exchange for my services and did not have time to do the office work we had agreed on. So she called me one day and said, “How would you like my car for $250?” Now even if the thing didn’t run, I could probably get $250 out of it. So I agreed.
For the ridiculously low price of $250, I got a great little Geo Tracker. It was perfect for bopping around Santa Fe.
It only had a couple of problems. First, she was a smoker and the car wreaked of cigarettes. Second, the canvas roof needed to be replaced. So I got some great stuff from the auto parts store to clean the carpet and upholstery and eliminate the odor. And then I went online in search of a replacement top.
First I visited Geo. They wanted $1400 – $1500 for the canvas top. Yeah right! I paid $250 for the whole vehicle. I wasn’t about to spend that much on the roof.
Through google searching I found Tops4Less. I got the replacement canvas top for $250 and it was made of superior materials to Geo’s. I was oh so impressed with my manifesting ability. A great little vehicle for $500.
Funny thing is, I bought that top many years ago and I still remember the name of the site. Hmmm. Why? Because something about Tops4Less is seriously memorable. I think it’s the 4 in the middle. I don’t know for sure, but I know after all these years I have no trouble remembering that name.
~~~ End of Site Story ~~~
Remembering the site with the easy to remember name, I chose ClassicParts4Cars.com. It’s clever. It has the term classic car parts built right in. And it was available.
What you name your site makes a big difference in your search engine rankings.
If you type in Debbie Shelor, this blog comes up first. It’s not because it is my biggest website. Far from it. It’s not because it’s my oldest website. Not even close. It’s not because it is my website with the highest page rank (PR). Again, many of my other sites are significantly larger, older, and have higher page rank. All of those are things the search engines take into consideration when deciding which sites get listed first in their rankings when you do a search.
What this site has that the others don’t is the term “Debbie Shelor” in the domain name.
Keep that in mind before you put up your site or blog.
Over the years I’ve watched so many people give up on their dreams. They grow up, get an education, get a “real” job, marry, start a family, and often lose sight of the things they once held dear.
You were born with certain skills and talents. When you express those “gifts” you thrive in life. You have energy. You have joy. You feel fulfilled. It doesn’t matter if your gift is to be the world’s greatest musician, or working in the garden with plants, or being a good listener to friends who are in need. Whatever your gift(s), it is your job to hone them, make them even better, and express them to the world. Otherwise, you will begin to wither up and die.
Your need for expressing your special gifts and talents is as important to your health and happiness as the tree’s need for sunlight. It is your fuel.
The same is true of your dreams. If you have a dream or goal, don’t give up on it. Know that if it is truly your heart’s desire, there is a way to achieve it.
People who give up on their dreams and don’t express their gifts are literally drying up and dying inside. Creative expression and having goals keeps you young.
Find your passion and live it!

I’m sure if you’ve visited any of my websites or social media profiles, you’ve noticed a great deal of imagery dealing with water and tropical beach scenes.
There is a reason.
And it’s not just that I love the ocean or tropical beaches. I do love those.
I love dolphins too! But that’s a story for another time.
There are numerous reasons for choosing tropical beach scenes to represent me and my business.
It has to do with stress relief!
I can’t think of anything more relaxing than:
- beautiful turquoise seas,
- white sandy beaches,
- palm trees,
- you and your friends kicking back sipping mai tai’s or some other exotic drink.
Life is good.
There is no stress.
Having me on board your personal yacht (business), making sure things are being taken care of properly, lets you relax and enjoy running the rest of your business as only you can. It’s like enjoying your relaxing time at the beach. You can be confident that your online presence is being handled.
Without me, the best case scenario has you spending countless hours and dollars lost in a little raft (your website) in the middle of the ocean (the internet) with no shore in sight. Worst case you are being eaten alive by sharks. That would be your competition that has a clue about internet marketing.
You can hang out at the beach letting me assist you in handling all the details of running a successful on-line business.
Or you can go it alone.
The choice is yours!
Have a fabulous day,
The Good Old Days
In the not so distant past, online business success could happen with a nice sign out front, a small ad in the local paper or yellow pages, and maybe an actual mailed advertisement every now and then. Believe it or not, you could run your entire business without a computer.
Wow, how times have changed!
You Are Now Living in the Digital Information Age
People under 30 don’t subscribe to newspapers anymore. Why look something up in the yellow pages, when you can go online or search for something on your iPhone? Why listen to the radio and all their disruptive ads when you can get commercial free satellite radio listening to only the type of music you enjoy most?
A recent study indicates that 79% of English-speaking American adults use the internet. The iPad sold over 2 million units in its first 60 days. There are 6.7 billion people on the planet and 61% of them have a cell phone subscription.
106 million people have Twitter accounts. Every day another 300,000 people sign up for Twitter. 37% of Tweets (messages posted on Twitter) are sent from a cell phone.
Facebook has over 400 million active users. That’s active users. Over 50% of those active users log in on any given day.
With the addition of social media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, MySpace, LinkedIn), the internet has changed dramatically.
A Website for Your Business Isn’t Enough
Even having a website isn’t enough to be successful in today’s competitive marketplace. With eBay and Amazon selling everything from used books to health food, it takes more than putting up a nice website to keep your company competitive.
Having a Web site and Having Online Business Success is a Lot Like Writing a Book
An author takes about 6 months to 2 years to write a book. Then they spend the rest of their life promoting it. Having an online presence is a very similar endeavor. It’s not enough to have a great looking website. It takes smart and consistent work with a website or blog and multiple social media profiles to have people find your business among the 234 million websites out there.
Being on the First Page of Google Matters
When a person types in words in a search box to find your website or blog, it matters where you show up in the results.
I wish I could remember who said this in order to give due credit. But, I’ve been on-line for 10 years and I’ve read thousands of articles, books, and blogs on internet marketing. The best comment about where you want your internet business to be was this: Would you rather have your business out in a corn field or downtown Manhattan?
Just putting up a website and doing no promotion is like sticking it out in the middle of a corn field. No one is going to find you. You’ll be paying for hosting, a web designer, a domain name, and a whole bunch of other services and it won’t get you even one web visitor.
Working with someone like myself, an online business success consultant who specializes in social media management and marketing, is what you need to get your business on the first page of Google and other search engines. That’s the equivalent of putting your business downtown Manhattan. If you sell real estate in Birmingham, when someone is searching for Birmingham Real Estate, if you don’t show up on page 1 of Google results, no one is going to visit your website. You might as well not even have one.
You can use pay per click advertising and get listed above your competitors. But that can get very expensive very quickly.
Being on the Internet is a Bit Like Being on Mars
It’s a very different world than your brick and mortar business on main street. It has its own language. It is continuously changing. And to win the internet game, you have to learn and master every aspect of it even as it’s changing.
Anyone can throw up a website or blog. To be successful on the web, you have to do significantly more, And every step and component counts.
Why Hire an Online Business Success Consultant?
An Online Business Success Consultant is a person that already knows the internet inside and out. They have ample experience with traditional websites, blogs, social media, search engine optimization (SEO), and much more. You can read about the important aspects of an internet business here.
They have already successfully put their own websites, and those of their clients, on the first page of Google and other search engines for the important terms being searched by their prospective clients and customers.
They look at your business and the on-line presence you are wanting to create, and they help you put together a winning game plan by:
- doing advanced keyword research to find out what people are searching who might be looking for you and your products or services,
- helping you choose the best domain name for your site or blog,
- recommending web designers, web hosts, domain registrars, autoresponder services, social media sites, and other services,
- picking topics for articles, press releases, blog, and social media posts to rank well on search engines and get targetted visitors to your site,
- helping you determine if you need to get into mobile websites and text message advertising,
- ensuring that your site(s) and media profiles stay updated with fresh content,
- analyzing every aspect of your on-line presence on an ongoing basis to determine what is working well and what needs to be changed,
- making changes to the plan as the business and the internet changes, and
- keeping you updated with trends and laws that can impact your online business success.
There’s more of course.
The bottom line is this . . . to be successful in business, you must have a web presence. The only web presence worth having is one in which you dominate your market.
An Online Business Success Consultant is your secret weapon for making that happen.
